Music, movement and being together: fitness explores a shared experience

The Global Wellness Summit brings Sanctum’s immersive sessions to Phuket. A format worth exploring with precise words: describing it is not a promise of healing.

Some days the desire to move meets another wish: stepping outside your bubble. Music, a guide, a moment with a beginning and end. Sharing a room without immediately needing something brilliant to say.

Part of the wellness industry designs experiences around that wish: movement, sound, breathing, attention and a collective setting. Sanctum uses this language and will appear at the next Global Wellness Summit.

Two mornings on a Phuket beach

In a 19 October 2026 release, the organisers announce two Sanctum morning experiences on Angsana Laguna Phuket beach, led by founder Luuk Melisse. The summit runs from 10 to 13 November in Thailand under ‘The Science, Art and Soul of Wellness’.

The sessions are part of the summit programme for 10–13 November. Participants can discover the format with its founder. From Italy, we can learn how it works and consider whether it is the kind of experience we would enjoy.

What Sanctum proposes

The format combines movement, music and breathing practices, drawing on different disciplines and traditions. The announcement mentions martial arts and somatic movement. Organisers present it as an opportunity for connection and belonging.

These are the provider’s intentions and language. Reporting them does not confirm clinical effects or endorse every spiritual explanation. A use of rhythm and shared space can be interesting without being presented as therapy.

Something relevant without travelling to Thailand

Recognising that desire needs no journey. Locally, a dance class, walk or regular group may offer different shared experiences. These are not equivalents of Sanctum. They can help identify what you want: music, company, learning or protected time.

Before any immersive session, ask about duration, intensity and guided breathing. Can you stop? Will there be touch, filming or practices you want explained? Participation includes choosing which parts to experience.

Spirituality deserves careful language

The summit includes specific cultural and spiritual traditions, including Thai Buddhism. CHIARA! distinguishes these contexts. Spiritual language in wellness is not automatically Christian practice; movement does not replace prayer or a faith journey.

Curiosity can coexist with discernment. You can learn about the content, choose according to your convictions and prefer another activity. Wanting more music and movement does not require adopting a worldview.

The founder’s voice, in context

Manduka published an English-language interview with Luuk Melisse before the summit announcement. It explains how he describes his work rather than documenting future Phuket sessions. It is content from a commercial partner.

Above all, freedom to choose

A shared experience can be worthwhile without extraordinary emotion. You can remain reserved, enjoy it without tears or discover it is not for you. Transformation is not proof of correct participation.

What would you like from your next time of movement? A challenge, music, patient guidance or company may be the answer. Let it remain yours.
