SARAH TOSCANO: A VOICE, A FAMILY AND AN IMPOSSIBLE CHOICE
From the Amici stage to her first starring film role: Sarah plays Eletta, the only hearing member of her family.

We first got to know Sarah Toscano as a singer. With Non abbiam bisogno di parole, Luca Ribuoli’s film released on Netflix on 3 April, she also made her acting debut alongside Serena Rossi.
Eletta’s story
Eletta is a hearing girl who has grown up in a deaf family. When her singing teacher recognises her talent and encourages her to audition, the chance to study music creates a conflict: following that path would mean leaving home and changing the family’s familiar balance.
A question for all of us
How do you find your own space without feeling guilty towards those you love? That question runs through the film’s premise, offering a starting point for parents and children to talk about expectations, independence and different hopes.
