MATTEO PAOLILLO: THERE’S MORE THAN MARE FUORI!
Mare Fuori’s Edoardo stars in a love story filmed in Italy’s Marche region—and writes music too.
For millions of viewers, Matteo Paolillo is still Edoardo Conte from Mare Fuori. But he has already turned the page, at least on screen. Since 18 September, Prime Video has offered Io+Te, Valentina De Amicis’s film starring him alongside Ester Pantano.
A love story against the tide
Mia is 36 and a gynaecologist; Leo is 26, works as a bartender, writes poetry and stays away from social media. A ten-year age gap and two very different lives: their love story challenges everything they thought they knew. The film was shot between Porto Recanati and Loreto, and Matteo said he discovered a “beautiful land with sea, hills and enchanting villages”.
A musician too
And if you think you have heard him sing before, you are right: Matteo is among the writers of ’O mar for, Mare Fuori’s theme song, which went platinum.
