ANNA: “I DON’T USE NUMBERS TO MEASURE MY SUCCESS”
Charts, stadiums, millions of streams. Yet on her new album, one of Italy’s most listened-to rappers also talks about loneliness.

The title says it all—or seems to: Million Dollar Babe. ANNA’s second album, released on 10 July, brings money, luxury and success to mind. But listen to her, and the story is different.
Success is more than a chart
“I don’t use numbers as a measure of my success,” she said in an interview. “What matters to me is not being number one, but knowing that everyone sings my song.” Coming from a young woman with all the numbers on her side, that makes you think.
Loneliness behind the spotlight
The record also contains fame’s less bright side. “People think you’re always surrounded by others, but actually there are many moments of loneliness,” she explained. Then a line we love: “I’m like a matryoshka doll: I’ll keep adding layers, but inside I’ll remain who I’ve always been.”
Growing, changing and becoming famous without losing herself: perhaps that is the true wealth of a “million dollar babe”.
