U2, SEE YOU AT SAN SIRO! DATES TO KEEP CLOSE TO YOUR HEART
Two Milan concerts in July 2027, ticket sales to watch and music that keeps making room for young people.

Some messages in the group chat need just one answer: ‘Shall we go?’ Today's comes with a specific destination: San Siro. U2 will return to Milan on 5 and 6 July 2027 with The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour. This time, we really can circle the dates: they are on the band's official calendar.
Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. will meet their Italian audience again as a new chapter in their music opens. For anyone hoping to be there, the first step is practical: finding out when sales begin, which presales are available and where to get the right information.
Two nights in Milan, with Wolf Alice
The Italian dates are Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 July 2027 at San Siro Stadium. Wolf Alice will join U2, as listed by the organiser among the artists appearing. The Milan concerts are part of the European leg, following the dates in Latin America.
The confirmation comes on 29 October 2026 and updates our earlier story: the wait for an Italian date finally has an answer. Two evenings to imagine sharing with the person you wore out a record with, whoever first introduced you to the band, or someone hearing them live for the first time.
Tickets: mark 6 November in your diary
General sales begin on Friday 6 November 2026 at 10am. Live Nation's Italian page links to Ticketmaster and TicketOne: it is the starting point for finding the ticket links for both dates.
There will be reserved windows beforehand. Paid U2.com subscribers will have access according to their group: Feedback from 2 November at 10am, The Hype from 3 November at 10am. Both windows close on 4 November at 10pm. The Artist Presale runs on 5 November from 10am to 10pm, with advance registration through the band's website.
Registration for the Milan Artist Presale closed on 1 November at 11:59pm Italian time (CET), according to Ticketmaster and the band’s official website. That deadline has passed. Registration provided access to the presale; it did not guarantee a ticket.
Prices will be announced by the organiser when sales begin, as specified in Ticketmaster's information. Live Nation's page has a dedicated section on accessibility and applications for accessible tickets. Before booking travel and accommodation, always check that your ticket purchase is confirmed.
Before the stadium, a new album to discover together
The wait also includes Carnaval de Luz, due for release on 13 November 2026. The band has announced listening parties in record shops, with international events between 12 and 15 November. For individual Italian events, check times and entry arrangements directly with the shop.
It is a simple way to rediscover the pleasure of listening together: going into a shop, pausing over a song and talking to someone waiting for the same album. Shop events and concerts are separate occasions; no appearance by the band at the Italian previews has been announced.
Music for those still waiting to begin
Behind the excitement about San Siro is a story CHIARA! loves to keep telling. On 19 June 2026, U2 announced a new €5 million commitment to Music Generation, alongside €5 million from The Ireland Funds and corresponding support from the Irish government.
The new phase focuses especially on young people aged 13 and over facing poverty, disadvantage and exclusion. Planning includes listening to them: which genres they want to play, what they want to learn and which barriers they face. Access to the new funding is planned from the 2027–2028 academic year.
The programme already reaches around 130,000 children and young people every year. Behind that number are lessons, teachers and opportunities to make music in their own communities. For someone who has never had a chance to try, it could be the beginning of something that once felt out of reach.
Thirty-two young musicians inside a song
On 25 September 2026, at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin, 32 young Music Generation musicians performed One with U2 during the band's fiftieth anniversary celebrations. Michael Rooney arranged the piece, and their teachers supported their preparation.
Watching that video while waiting for San Siro adds another dimension to the excitement. On a day celebrating a world-famous band, the stage also became an opportunity for young musicians. Their preparation found listeners, space and an audience.
It is a lovely image to carry with us until July: the songs we love can bring us together in a stadium, but they can also help someone find their own voice. Meanwhile, there is already a question we can send to the group chat: ‘The fifth or the sixth?’
