GIGI D’ALESSIO, A SONG TO WALK BESIDE YOU THROUGH LIFE
Piccerè began as a song for his daughter Ginevra and speaks to anyone who has searched for the words to say: I will be beside you as you grow. Meanwhile, new concerts are coming in 2027, from Verona’s Arena to Italian stadiums.

What would you like to leave your daughter? This time, Gigi D’Alessio answers with a song. It is called Piccerè, is dedicated to Ginevra and comes from a recognisable wish: finding words that can accompany a child even when she is old enough to choose for herself.
At the press meeting on 31 October, the singer-songwriter explained why he considers this song one of the most important things he can give her. By a musical ‘testament’, he means a message that will remain, to be heard again over the years. It shifts attention away from possessions and towards an intimate question: what part of us will truly reach the people we love?
Her name is Ginevra; the feeling reaches further
The song begins with a specific recipient. Then, listening and talking about it, D’Alessio recognised a wider space that could include other children, mothers and fathers. the origin remains personal, while listeners may recognise the bond.
Music offers this particular possibility. An artist has one person in mind and we think of another, a time in our lives or something we have not yet managed to say. Listening adds a story to the one from which a song began.
A father who is easily moved but struggles to admit it might recognise himself here. A mother looking for the right moment to talk. Or a grown daughter hearing something of her parents’ wish to protect her. These are different experiences; each can find its own way into the song.
A dedication in the language of home
D’Alessio wrote the words and music of Piccerè; the arrangements are by maestro Adriano Pennino. The song is in Neapolitan. For an artist whose repertoire is so closely associated with that language, the dedication to his daughter uses words connected with his musical identity.
The producer’s announcement describes the song as an open letter. That image helps us listen: a letter has someone on the other side, contains things worth choosing carefully, and can be kept and reopened as life changes. Here, melody and voice deliver it.
Before continuing, let us make room for the song. Here is the official visual video published by GigiDAlessioVEVO, played directly from the channel distributing it.

From listening to a real message
A dedication works when its recipient understands why we chose it. Sending a link can be a beginning; adding our own sentence makes it more personal. Just a few words, if they say something specific: a shared memory, a quality we admire, the pleasure of seeing someone become themselves.
For a parent, it may mark a transition: a child starting work, moving to a new city or making a decision. For a daughter, it can reopen a conversation with her father. The song provides a starting point; the rest belongs to the people writing to each other.
And if the relationship is difficult? No song can repair it for us. We can still choose an honest measure, without promising closeness we cannot sustain. A dedication can remain small: an attempt to be present today, using the words we have.
Meeting under the stage in 2027
Alongside the single come new live dates. Concert producer Friends & Partners has announced an evening at Verona’s Arena and stadium shows. These are 2027 events, separate from this autumn’s arena tour.
22 May 2027 — Verona, Arena: Gigi & Friends in Arena.
5 and 6 June 2027 — Naples, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
12 June 2027 — Taranto, Stadio Erasmo Iacovone.
19 June 2027 — Messina, Stadio Franco Scoglio.
Guests and friends are planned for Verona; their names have not yet been announced. General ticket sales for the new shows are announced on TicketOne from 11 a.m. Italian time on 31 October 2026. Check the official event pages for current availability and conditions.
A European tour is also planned for November 2027. The announcement lists several cities but does not yet give the full dates. San Siro remains a project D’Alessio has discussed with the press, rather than a confirmed stop to add to the calendar.
A concert can become a gift to experience together, perhaps with the person who introduced us to these songs. Meanwhile, Piccerè offers a more immediate possibility: listen, think of someone and find a sentence of our own to send them. Who would you dedicate it to?
