SINNER: HIS BEST POINT IS SCORED OFF THE COURT!
Temporary classrooms, notebooks and games for almost 100,000 children living through war: Jannik Sinner’s Foundation and UNICEF team up.

We all know him on the tennis court: calm and precise. But since September, Jannik Sinner has taken on an even more important match. In news dated 11 September, UNICEF Italy announced a two-year agreement with his Foundation to help almost 100,000 children return to school in countries affected by war and humanitarian crises.
A school inside a box
How do you teach where schools no longer exist? With temporary learning spaces and emergency kits that reach even the most isolated areas. The best known is School-in-a-Box: it contains everything needed for a teacher and around forty pupils.
There are also kits for younger children, with games that help them develop, and kits for sport and group play. These may seem like details, but for a child who has witnessed war or had to leave home, playing with others is a way to recover a little peace.
Not the first time
The Jannik Sinner Foundation was created to help children and young people through education and sport. In July, it launched a project with Sport Senza Frontiere for 80 children facing difficulties here in Italy.
Almost 100,000 children is the agreement’s target, rather than a result already achieved. Learning spaces, materials and sustained commitment will bring the project to life: work that continues well beyond the announcement.
