REMEMBER THE Y10? THE NEW PANDINA SENDS ITS REGARDS!
Fiat presents Pandina Tributo Autobianchi: the black door, the Platinum color and a story of small cars with a great personality. Here's the link to the Y10 and what really changes.

A black tailgate. Sometimes one detail is enough to recognise a car, even if engines have never been your thing. It was the Autobianchi Y10’s signature. Now Fiat brings it back with the Pandina Tributo Autobianchi, presented on 21 October 2026.
It feels like a postcard between two eras: a small car of today greeting one that always stood out. That black tailgate says it all.
Why now? A thirty-year connection
Fiat links the registration of the first Pandina Tributo Autobianchi on 21 October 2026 with that of the last Y10, exactly thirty years earlier. The anniversary marks that moment in production history; the Y10 itself had arrived much earlier.
Built in Pomigliano d’Arco, the new version sits at the top of the Pandina range. Its styling and trim pay tribute to Autobianchi.
An industrial anniversary suddenly feels familiar when it appears in a colour, a seat pattern or a detail we remember seeing on our street.
The Y10 was small, with plenty of personality
Its story began at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show. Stellantis Heritage recalls the A112’s successor: a compact car with carefully finished interiors and materials associated with larger, more expensive models.
The Y10 shared its origins with the Fiat Panda but had a character of its own. Its technical differences included an omega-shaped rear axle and coil springs.
Its signature was the almost vertical tailgate in matt black resin, contrasting with the bodywork. Some later special editions broke that rule, but the black rear end is the detail so many of us remember.
A familiar detail can bring an entire car back to mind. You do not need to copy every line to recall its story.
Platinum, black and a light interior
Fiat introduces a dedicated Platinum colour, in single-colour or two-tone versions. The black roof and tailgate make the Y10 reference clear. Special side lettering and fifteen-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels complete the exterior.
Inside are light sand-coloured microfibre seats with a large check pattern and a dedicated logo on the front headrests. Fiat also lists matching door inserts, a Platinum dashboard panel and special welcome graphics.
Light against dark, soft surfaces beside shiny details: would you enjoy seeing that combination every time you opened the door?
A tribute with a story behind it
‘Vintage’ can mean almost anything. A particular tailgate, proportion or material gives the connection a shape we can actually recognise.
The Y10 brought a distinctive character to a compact car. This Pandina recalls that spirit through its trim. Whether you love the result is a matter of taste—and that is part of the fun.
You do not need to have driven a Y10 to enjoy the reference. Everyday cars carry memories of families, journeys and changing tastes.
Nostalgia first. Then a written quote
If you are thinking of buying, try the driving position, check the space and compare the equipment included. A lovely colour catches your eye; the car also needs to fit your day.
Ask for a written quote showing the car’s price, extras and any finance terms. If incentives are offered, ask about eligibility and amounts. Nostalgia is lovely; the numbers still need to add up.
Do you remember the Y10? It is a lovely place to start. Then comes another question: would this Pandina suit my life today? The past can inspire us. We are the ones taking the wheel.
