MIU MIU INVITES CHRISTMAS INTO YOUR WARDROBE. WITH A CUDDLY TOY!
Gigi Hadid, Momo, embroidered silk and little guests to cuddle: the Holiday 2026 campaign mixes elegance, playfulness and the pleasure of being together.

The house is ready. Fir branches, elegant rooms, that winter light that makes everything look a little more cinematic. The guests are ready too: beautiful clothes, bags, carefully chosen shoes. Look again, though, and someone is holding a cuddly toy. A rabbit, a bear, a goose. Christmas dinner is beginning to look very promising indeed.
That is the world Miu Miu has built for its Holiday 2026 campaign: a composed yet slightly eccentric celebration that makes you want to examine every detail. Tina Barney took the photographs; Emilie Blichfeldt directed the film. The cast includes Gigi Hadid, Momo, Louisa Jacobson, XiaoWen Ju, Crystal Fish, Georgia Martin and Nyla Singleton.
A party with something going on
The setting suggests a grand house full of memories, with polished wood, decorations and rooms where you imagine conversations unfolding in low voices. Cuddly toys created for the occasion arrive like guests for whom someone has saved a special seat. They interrupt the composure and make you look again.
The clothes enjoy unexpected encounters too. Upcycled by Miu Miu knitwear appears alongside embroidered silk; masculine-inspired tailoring meets sportswear and luminous surfaces. Loafers and ballet flats return underfoot. There is room to be elegant without looking as though everyone received a rule book at the door.
Thinking about our own celebrations, that is welcome news. The message “What are we wearing?” can create more doubts than expected. Too smart? Too casual? Dinner means sitting down, moving to the sofa, perhaps helping in the kitchen. The outfit needs to stay with us all evening, rather than simply making an entrance.
First invitation: grey tailoring can celebrate
A grey suit often belongs in our minds to serious appointments. To take it to dinner, lighten what you wear underneath: a fine knit with a little shimmer, a fluid blouse, a simple top with luminous earrings. The colour stays restrained while the face gains a different kind of light.
If you love ballet flats, this is a lovely chance to try them. The trousers should give them some space instead of gathering over the foot. With a roomy jacket, push the sleeves up to show a little wrist: sometimes that glimpse of skin changes the weight of the whole outfit. A small bag finishes things without requiring further special effects.
Only own the jacket? Try it with a soft skirt. Only the trousers? A colourful cardigan can make them feel much less like office wear. That is one pleasure of looking at a campaign: discovering a combination you have never tried with clothes already in your wardrobe.
Second invitation: knitwear meets silk
Knits and shiny fabrics make good company. The sweater absorbs light while the skirt reflects it; one feels enveloping, the other moves differently with every step. For a party at home, a soft cardigan and satin skirt can be a comfortable alternative to a dress you spend the evening pulling down.
With a loose sweater, try keeping the beginning of the skirt visible: tucking in just the front edge can be enough. If you prefer not to define your waist, look at the overall proportions and find a sweater length you enjoy. An intentional outfit does not have to be tight everywhere.
For colours, stay close to the shades you already love: cream and chocolate, navy and pearl grey, pink and burgundy. If you want a festive note, let it appear in one place. A hair clip, bag or shoe. Something that feels like yours when you look at it, instead of making you feel dressed up as a special occasion.
Third invitation: allow one funny detail
The campaign’s toys work because they appear where you would not expect them. In an everyday wardrobe, the same spirit might live in a brooch, colourful hair clip or unusually shaped little bag. You do not need to rebuild the brand’s set to enjoy a playful detail.
The balance depends on everything around it. A brooch is instantly visible on a clean-lined shirt. Among embroidery and lots of jewellery, it might disappear. A fun accessory benefits from some space to be noticed without competing with every inch of the outfit. If you enjoy going all out, of course, it is your celebration too.
The best part comes when you sit down
Before deciding what to wear, try sitting in it. Such a simple gesture prevents plenty of second thoughts: trousers ride up, a skirt stretches, a jacket changes shape. For a long evening, a good outfit is one you can stop thinking about for a while.
Then you can enjoy everything else: kitchen chatter, a song someone plays too loudly, photographs in which everyone is laughing and nobody is perfectly posed. The Miu Miu campaign has magnificent rooms and dream clothes. Yet the detail you want to remember is that little toy guest, held with absolute seriousness. Some parties look even better with a little tenderness.
