BEAUTY TALK!

A TOUCH OF GOLD, A DIFFERENT LIGHT ON YOUR EVENING!

From a small reflection to an evening look: KIKO’s Holiday ideas invite you to choose your own intensity, including with shadows you already own.

Gold eyeshadow can sound like a big occasion: special dress, special invitation, perfectly steady hands. Then you open your make-up bag and postpone. What if you began with one small reflection on the lid and kept everything else familiar? A celebration can start there too.

For its Holiday looks, KIKO Milano pairs the gold and bronze Triple Charm Eyeshadow Palette #01 with pencil, eyeliner and mascara. Two colours to borrow an idea from: a light reflection in the centre and a deeper shade outside. We choose how much sparkle to add.

First idea: a reflection that moves with you

Choose a luminous eye shadow you already own and follow its application instructions. Start with a little on the mobile lid. Look straight ahead, then turn your face slightly. The reflection changes with the light: that is the pleasure of it.

Keep the rest of your make-up familiar. A simple top and small earrings, or none, can leave space for the eyes. Try when you are not rushing out. A minute of looking may save five minutes of correcting.

Second idea: gold and bronze together

For more definition, combine a luminous shade with a deeper one. Add the second gradually at the outer lid and blend where they meet. This is our simplified suggestion; KIKO’s full published look uses more products and a more elaborate application.

Open your eyes regularly while working. A shape you like on a lowered lid should also please you when smiling or meeting someone’s gaze. If a shade disappears into a fold, adjust its placement gradually. Your eye shape is a starting point rather than something to correct.

Third idea: build evening intensity gradually

For more contrast, add a line near the upper lashes with a product intended for that area, following its instructions. A softened pencil can be easier to manage than a sharply defined line. Then decide whether you want mascara. An evening look has no compulsory score.

Pause before adding colour beneath the eyes. Already happy? You are finished. Want more intensity? Experiment and assess. The best version is not automatically the heaviest. A shadow you considered too bold may surprise you with a different amount and combination.

Check a second light

Before going out, look in daylight too, wearing the colour that will sit near your face. Gold and bronze change under warm light: a step towards the window may reveal the shimmer you wanted.

For sparkle near your eyes, choose eyeshadow or cosmetic glitter intended for that area. Decoration glitter stays on the tree! Smile at the mirror and see where the colour catches the light.

Before buying a new palette, rediscover the gold you used once for a party. Perhaps it was simply waiting for you to give it five minutes in front of your mirror.
