BEAUTY TALK!

LIPSTICK TAKES CENTRE STAGE. THE REST IS UP TO YOU!

Bold lips or a little blue experiment? Open your makeup bag and start with a colour you want to wear.

Makeup brushes and colourful cosmetics

Start with the lipstick you leave at the bottom of your bag. Step back from the mirror: what would you actually add? Changing the order can reveal where you want attention to go.

Three signs to watch

A bold lipstick with barely-there cheeks: let’s start there. Feeling more adventurous? Blue can be a little experiment in front of the mirror too, with a lip product and a playful mood. Decide what else to add after looking at your whole face.

Try what you own

Compare full and lighter applications of the same colour under the same light, without filters. Look at it beside your neck and with clothes you often wear. Keep the blush you love; to try a different effect, simply use less.

Luxury or budget?

Bold lipsticks exist at both perfume counters and affordable makeup shops. Two contrasting examples: MAC’s M·A·Cximal Silky Matte, with its velvety matte finish, and KIKO’s Unlimited Stylo, with a softer effect in a mini format.

What matters is a texture you feel comfortable in and how often you will wear it. For a bold shade you use once a year, a smaller format lets you experiment without guilt.

Choosing blue?

Use a product specifically intended for lips rather than improvising with an eyeshadow palette. For eyes, use dedicated products and never share applicators.

A trend offers a chance to experiment. The result that counts is the one you want to wear with your own clothes and colours.
