BARELLA AND DIMARCO: THEIR BEST MATCH IS ON THE HOSPITAL WARD
On 27 February 2026, Barella and Dimarco visited young patients at Niguarda after the Crans-Montana fire, offering time, listening and support.

For once, an Inter shirt enters a place where Sunday’s result takes second place. On 27 February 2026, Nicolò Barella and Federico Dimarco met young people at Milan’s Niguarda hospital who had been injured in the New Year’s fire at Crans-Montana.
A team beside the patients
They were joined by president Giuseppe Marotta, Francesco Toldo, Giuseppe Bergomi and medical department head Piero Volpi. The club described the visit to the major burns centre as a gesture of solidarity that respected the sensitivity of the situation.
The delegation also thanked doctors, nurses and healthcare workers, who support patients and families every day through a demanding course of treatment.
The value of being there
An encounter cannot resolve the difficulties of a hospital stay, but it can offer contact with life beyond the ward. What strikes us is the choice to give someone time, with care for what they may be experiencing and want at that moment.
You do not need a famous shirt to ask someone close to you in hospital whether they would like a visit or a call. Arrange it with them and follow the ward’s guidance. Support starts with listening.
