LAYANA: “PROUD OF MYSELF, BUT VULNERABLE TOO”

After X Factor, the young singer-songwriter who grew up between Milan and London shares the courage it takes to open up in a song.

She started singing at eight, grew up between Milan and London, and reached a wider audience on X Factor in 2025, as part of Achille Lauro’s team. Today Layana is finding her own way, one song at a time.

Her first song of her own

Solita notte, her first original single, came out on 15 May. Talking about it, she said something many of us understand: releasing a song you wrote yourself makes you feel “very proud of myself, but also extremely vulnerable”. Because it takes courage to show “something entirely your own”.

Her journey continued: her first EP, Amore Amore Amore, was released on 19 June 2026 by Woodworm Publishing and Universal Music Italy.

The courage to be seen

Have you ever sent someone something you wrote and waited for their reply, phone in hand? With a song, that moment becomes public: your story reaches people you have never met. Listen to Solita notte below. What do you think?
